This episode was not IT! I was confused, but we’ll get to that. This week, the queens had to make an original outfit out of unconventional materials. I’m not gonna lie, Angeria killed IT. So did Lady Camden. But who won? Jorgeous…
Main Challenge – Glamazon Primetime!
So… Again, we get a design challenge. The tops for me were Angeria, Lady Camden and Bosco. Daya Betty was also very cute, but somehow her aesthetic is too similar to Crystal’s yet again. And Carson told her in the workroom that she should work on that. However, she didn’t apply that critique to the challenge. Instead she served us a colorful look, fiercely constructed one at that, but too similar to Crystal’s aesthetic.
The bottoms… Maddy’s dress was not it. The look was underwhelming, didn’t make any sense whatsoever. Her hair was too small and I didn’t like the makeup. Sorry, not sorry. I also didn’t like Kerri’s look – was just not that inspiring or inventive. Also, Jasmine’s outfit was weird and she had too many accessories.
Who wins? Who goes home?
Ok. This was a weird decision, I’ll be honest. How the f..ck did Jorgeous win? In that outfit? Don’t get me wrong, I like Jorgeous, but that was some bulls..it! Angeria’s outfit was miles better, more inventive and polished. However, Jorgeous did sell it on the runway. Nonetheless, the look was too basic, not worthy of a DESIGN challenge win. Well, congrats Jorgeous, but I strongly disagree with Ru’s decision here. For me, Angeria or Lady Camden won the challenge.
Maddy and Jasmine were in the bottom and had to lip sync to Beyonce’s “Suga Mama”. Ultimately, Jasmine won the lip sync and Maddy had to sashay away. Not even the chocolate twist could save her.
Oh, by the way, Taraji P. Henson was the guest judge this episode and she was very entertaining to watch.
In conclusion, I didn’t enjoy this episode. It was kind of generic and expected. I want to see more personality driven challenges, so we can get to know the queens a bit better. Also, where the f..ck is the reading challenge? It’s episode 6, I’m ready for these bitches to read each other to filth!
