RuPaul’s Drag Race can be a very stressful experience. Many queens describe the show as the most stressful thing they had to do. What about All Stars 7 – All Winners season? As we know, this time the contestants don’t get eliminated in the process and instead they accumulate legendary legend stars.
Raja is a zen queen
The original fashion queen described the filming of the show as “inconvenient”. At the viewing party at “Roscoes” Raja explained she was “over” the filming by Episode 8. She continued: “I just wanted to go home“.
Here’s the video of Roscoes All Stars 7 viewing party:
We got to know Raja quite a bit in the promos leading up to the premiere of All Stars 7. However, I’ve been a huge Raja fan for more than a decade. She really is a relaxed, super creative and very down to earth person. Those qualities aren’t necessarily advantageous for filming a reality tv show. In fact, being calm oftentimes translates as “boring” or “uninteresting” on tv. However, Raja also has a competitive side which obviously balances out her relaxed nature. Let’s not forget – she was the original fierce fashion / style queen and the winner of Season 3.
All Stars 7 is heavily editing out negative critiques
Trinity The Tuck recently explained that production seems to be editing negative feedback from the judges. Which is not really a surprise considering the premise of the season. However, the fans are slowly getting sick of the obvious over positivity of the show. The last episode, Jaida Essence Hall flubbed her stand up routine, however she got absolutely no obvious negative feedback from the judges. I was expecting the judges to really critique her, however they were really nice.
So obviously we didn’t get to see everything that happened behind the scenes. Supposedly, the judges gave negative critiques, we just didn’t get to see them on air since the winners’ reputations were on the line.
Naturally, filming Drag Race can be stressful. Raja probably also received some negative critiques, however we didn’t get to see any of that. But even critiquing in general can be stressful. Not to mention the effort and money that goes into preparing for RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Raja is officially not returning for Fashion Photo RuView
I’m glad Raja persevered through filming of All Stars 7. In my opinion, she’s one of the most artistic queens out there. Her talents are out of this world and I’m so happy to watch her be even more amazing on the show.
Sadly, Raja confirmed, she’s not returning to Fashion Photo RuView. Which is a bummer. In my opinion, she and Raven are the best duo for the format. Raja added, she’s not invested in critiquing outfits anymore, so she decided to take a break.
